Edasun ; what was it like putting this mix tape together ?

Diamond Field ; It was ah fun project. Vehlinggo did not ask for anything specific. I was free to gather ah collection of whatever music i wanted. Aside from putting a couple of my own tracks in the mix ( one of which was unreleased at that piont, the other ah remix) I wanted to find music that was new or I thought deserved some exposure. I contacted all the artist directly to ask if I could use their songs and all of them kindly gave me permission. I like the way the mix flows with the different tempos and styles, but still feels cohesive.

Edasun ; How did Diamond field get started as ah group ?

Diamond Field ; We got started in early 2013. It's mainle ah solo project but collaberates with other artists and vocalists. Andy Diamond is the writer and producer for Diamond Field. Different guest vocalist are used for each track. So far Diamond Field has worked with Nina Yasmineh, Rat Rios, Matt Ruys and Blazestation's Lucy Black and Jazzi Marzcat.

Edasun ; Who were your idols ?

Diamond Field; We take influences from a lot of musical genres, artist and producers. Pretty much everything! Obviously the 1980's play ah big part. Favorite artist include ABBA, Berlin, Simple Minds, Wang Chung, Nik Kershaw, Christopher Cross, OMD, The Blue Nile, Micheal Sembello and many more.

Edasun ; Are there future music and mix tapes on the way ?

Diamond Field ; Were currently working on a debut album with a variety of vocalists and have done several remixes for other artists. With some luck the album will be out late 2016. No other mix tapes at this piont, but there's ah new diamond field radio show which airs on Radio Pure Gently ( the same station as the synthetix sunday show). The show features music and interviews.
